LIGHTING UP LIVES
FOUNDATION OF LIGHT
THE STORY
Foundation of Light are an amazing charity that have been running for over 25 years. In that time they’ve had a positive impact on hundreds of thousands of lives across the region. They are a team of people who are committed every day to helping as many people as possible; whether that’s at their home in the Beacon of Light or out in the local area at a satellite location or a local school, their collective commitment to changing lives can be seen everywhere.
THE BRIEF
Our work with Foundation of Light has always been multi-faceted so the briefs they have supplied have been varied and brought with them very different requirements depending upon the message or campaign they needed to launch. On this page are a series of videos which we were briefed to create for them specifically including their film for their star-studded Gala Dinner at the Beacon of Light to raise funds and celebrate the achievements across the charity that year. Additionally we have included some of the individual stories of the people who have seen working with the Foundation as transformative for their lives.
THE SOLUTION
The Gala Dinner film was a glitzy event held at the Beacon of Light where the great and the good of the North East as well as Sunderland AFC’s owners and the Duchess of Sussex attended to celebrate the last 12 months for the Foundation of Light. With two camera operators capturing all the sights and sounds of the event we ensured that, when edited, the final film showed off the wonderful night enjoyed by all. The two films below were a separate commission that identified and illustrated two ‘Game Changing’ stories for young people who had seen their lives benefit from working with the Foundation. Alexander, Aden and Emily all took part in different outreach programmes and all flourished as a result. Our solution for this requirement saw us film the contributors in a consistent fashion to make these videos feel like part of a series while also ensuring that each told a unique story and reflected the personal journey of the person or people at their centres.
